Our History
Asset Building Network, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization headed by an Executive Director and governed by a Board of Directors representing a cross-section of the community in Houston and Harris County. Case Management Services is our primary ongoing services to the community. Asset Building Network was founded in January 1999 as a public charitable non-profit organization. It provides social services to meet the needs of children and families of low to moderate income. Asset Building Network's purpose is to find restorative solutions to problems facing families in crisis and to achieve self-sufficiency. Mission Statement: Asset Building Network’s mission is to build and restore individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency through the provision of case management services including advocacy, counseling, education, employment / job skills training, financial assistance, information and referral to community resources.

Client Profile: Our clients are families living in poverty. We serve general population, with special emphasis on individuals and families living in Southwest Houston. The clients come to us from the United Way information and referral hotline, word of mouth from former clientele, networking with other community agencies, and outreach into the apartment complexes, and health fairs outreach. We conduct intake and assessment on all our clients to determine the eligibility for our services.
