Our History Asset
Building
Network, Inc. was founded in January
1999,
as an
outreach ministry by Mrs. Glory Udoh, focusing on the needs of children
and families living in poverty. Mrs. Udoh became aware of the health
conditions of children in Houston / Harris County because of her years
of employment with both city and county health agencies.
Mrs. Udoh was born in Nigeria, West Africa. She came to Houston, Texas as a student with a Mission to Touch Lives for the glory of God. She has a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, and a master’s degree in Education. She is married to Macaulay Udoh, Co-Founder of Asset Building Network, Inc. What began as a passion to provide education, advocacy, food, financial assistance, and encouragement to needy and hurting families has since manifested itself into an Outreach social services that has spread across the city of Houston and Harris County. She was a Contractor with the Texas Department of Health Case Management Program from 1999- 2003, and a Chairperson for the Children Case Management Coalition from 2000 - 2002. Mrs. Udoh is an Ambassador of goodwill, she was recognized her for her community service during the hurricane Katrina and Rita. Our office is located at 9888 Bissonnet, Suite 242, Houston, Texas 77036. The unique location of our office allows us to affect and empower our clients to achieve self-sufficiency through the provision of Case Management Services. Go To Top About Us Purpose: To find
solutions to problems that affect today’s families in areas of
crisis, broken families, disaster, divorce, loss of loved ones,
substance abuse, HIV/AIDS and to promote self-sufficiency and wholeness.
Description of programs and services provided by agency: Individual / Group Counseling programs are designed to restore families by restoring individuals one at a time. The provision of Counseling Services enhance the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, mental, and physical well being of men, women, and children living in poverty and are at risk of being destroyed by drugs and alcohol problems. We identify the needs of the individuals or families and coordinate referrals or services in the community to meet their needs. Other services we provide to our clients include: rental assistance, emergency shelters, and food pantries. Size and type of staff (credentials, licensing, etc): The center is managed by a Master level Executive Director, Office Manager, Case Managers, Volunteers, and supported by a Board of Directors. Cost of Services.: SERVICES ARE FREE OF CHARGE, but if we cannot provide requested services, clients are referred to other agencies. Requirements

At our core and in our practice, we embrace diversity and

Client Profile: Our
clients are
families living in poverty. We serve general
population, with special emphasis on individuals and families living in
Southwest Houston. The clients come to us from the United Way
information and referral hotline, word of mouth from former clientele,
networking with other community agencies, and outreach into the
apartment complexes, and health fairs outreach. We conduct intake and
assessment on all our clients to determine the eligibility for our
services. We listen to our clients, identify their needs, develop
recovery plan, and find restorative solutions to their needs.
